A magnet with a Single Pole ???

monopole magnet

From the basics of physics in magnets, we all have known that magnet has two poles and when its broken up into two pieces , it forms two di-pole magnets. Well thanks to technology, its not anymore like that. Yes, its history now.

Scientists believe that a magnetic mono-pole – a magnet with just one pole should be present. However, there is no physical evidence but a synthetic model has been engineered, giving us an opportunity to explore more.

A magnetic mono-pole, in other words, is like an electron consisting of magnetic charge. Researchers managed to simulate the behavior in an ultra cold material, similar to that of a natural magnetic system.

To achieve such a state, rubidium atoms were cooled to a billionth of a degree above absolute zero

They used one rubidium atom to mimic an electron, and then created the magnetic field of a mono-pole by changing the alignment of rubidium atoms.

The discovery of a natural mono-pole would frame up a key evidence to the Grand Unified Theory which is the greatest goal of physics which deals with….. The four fundamental forces of nature, Electromagnetism, The strong and weak nuclear forces, Gravity.

Ingeniously Simple Solar-Powered Charger

This is something really innovative ! Fabulous concept !

Two amazing designers Kyuho Song and Boa Oh have developed a solution to having no electrical power source to plug into on the go. While our advancing technology provides countless benefits, it has also added to our modern day inconveniences. One such annoyance that nearly everyone can relate to is having your phone die on you with nowhere to recharge it. Luckily, Song and Oh have designed the Window Socket—a small, readily available, portable solar-charger.

Equipped with a solar panel and suction cup, this product is ideal for use on windows in offices or planes, but could also function while out in nature. The Socket converts the collected solar energy into electricity that can then actively charge any of your handheld devices. It also acts as a backup battery to have on hand for instant recharges.

Since this project is still in the developmental phase it takes up to…

And it was the Macintosh’s 30th anniversary !!

The Apple’s Macintosh … the most influential computers of all time celebrated it’s 30th anniversary last week.

It’s just a great pleasure to witness the change in technology as we go through from the first model of the Apple computer way back in the 1976 which was built by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak and seeing the Mac 2013, sheer innovation !

The most motivating Hashtags of your Life !!

hashtag

Today’s trend in Facebook and Twitter? Its hashtagging !

According to me hashtag is a tag which relates to the content of your post you typed. For example if you write “Didn’t buy a gift for my friends birthday. Don’t know what to do” , then it is appropriate to keep an hashtag like #worried or #confused.

It basically described the present, past or futrure events directly or indirectly related to you.

Now that i explained you about hashtagging, when it comes to the concept of life, it is always two this you need to tag up #THEBESTISYETTOCOME and #THEPURSUITOFHAPPYNESS.

According to my recent observations in my occurences of my life, i have always felt motivated with small accomplishments also. These two hash tags will surely help you a lot in realizing your dreams.  I may take time to see which direction we will be heading to but ultimately the apex goal will be reached.

#THE “BEST” IS YET COME

Frankly speaking, never quench your thirst by small achievements, think bigger much more bigger and pave your path right away. Feel superb that you have come this far, be glad that the universe in kind enough to let you do your work.

If you have done something good, think of something greater, if you have done the greater, leap for the greatest, remember always that the best of you will always punch you somewhere around the corner to go and grab the best. Stay hungry …. hungry for goals…. hungry for achieving your dreams !!!!

#THE PURSUIT OF “HAPPY”NESS

What is the point in doing something which you don’t like to do ? Now, you may argue at this point that there will be many times in life where you will be locked up with responsibilities and you may end up complaining “How can i do what ever i want when there are things locked up with me?”

I do completely agree with those points but there’s a famous quote which one of my professors always stress upon when we couldn’t  finish our homework. He says “Never end up with REASONS, end up with RESULTS.”

Take time for your self, which is 100% vital, and WORK WORK towards it, yes if you got responsibilities, take some off-time and double you Dedication in doing your stuff.

When you find yourself frustrated at any point of time, remember the happiness you will get when you finish, think of that moment and move on… and on…. always look for happiness, find happiness in whatever you do.

Don’t ignore anything in this world, you may not know when you will discover that moment which you always thought of.  The moment of happiness….

Cheers !!

My First Android Application – NoteHub !

Today, it was something memorable, 15th Jan 2014, i completed building my first ever android application. 1 month of video tutorials, finally paid off.

The application i made was a very simple one and i guess many of the programming geeks would have made plenty like these but it’s still an accomplishment for me.

It’s called NoteHub, a simple note making application which creates, saves and deletes notes in plain text format. It was a joint effort by me and one of my besties, Aarti. We used to sit and listen the tutorials for hours with patience and eagerness to design this andsay it out to the world that yes, we too are in the Android App Development band wagon.

Its just in the beginning stage, Android is a vast subject and you need to have a very very good programming background to mendle with all on your own. My suggestion is to check out courses at http://www.lynda.com and try to grasp the concepts told by them.

Android is all about Java.

Here’s a photograph of the completed application in the android SDK. I haven’t made this compatible to all the android versions so am not uploading the apk file.
